In-PatientIntensive Care Unit

SIUT's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 16-bedded, fully equipped facility and is the most active area of our in-patient services. Patients from all over the country who have acute renal failure, multiple-organ dysfunction, dialysis-related emergencies and various other complications are treated here. The ICU department has its own dialysis machine which actively runs throughout the day.

A separate, but inter-linked, 6-bedded, Critical Care Unit (CCU) also provides ventilatory support and invasive monitoring and serves as an extension of the ICU. The CCU has recently acquired equipment for Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.
