
Skin infection, diarrhea, malaria and infection in respiratory tracts are the most common ailments which were found among the flood affected population of Badin district.
This was reported by the team of doctors of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) who have camped in different parts of Badin district. Some five hundred patients were treated at these medical camps daily.
According to doctors based at these medical camps majority of the patients who came for treatment were female and children. They were mostly found suffering with the ailments respiratory tract infection, skins ravaged with boils and scabies beside a big number of complaints of diarrhea among the children. A significant number of cases of Malaria were also reported.
SIUT had established similar camps in different parts of the country last year and treated some 103,864 patients of the flood affected areas in various parts of the country.
